PACCC receives Ho’oilina Foundation grant

Mahalo a nui loa to the Ho’oilina Foundation for its $4,000 grant to PACCC. We will use this grant to reach out and connect with more Pacific Islanders in our region.

Mahalo also for another very successful Heritage of Aloha Festival. We are honored to help, however we can, to bring together our Pacific Island culture here in California.

The love for our culture is very evident when you come to a festival like Heritage of Aloha. We have been a part of this festival since it has started above to be here every year. Having a chance to talk story and visit with so many people is such a blessing. It is always a fun, rewarding weekend and a great way to share our different cultures. These gatherings are essential for us to see what the community needs for cultural programs.

Maika’i loa for the many hands that make this all possible. You are great stewards of our Oceania Heritage. Our ancestors traveled many miles on open seas and survived to start new Pacific Islander communities wherever they went. Our journey was not as difficult as theirs, but we have different challenges to overcome. Mahalo for sharing this juliana and honoring our ancestors. Through our actions we are strengthening relationships, growing our ‘ike and fill us with inspiration. Mahalo pau a pau. Ke akua pu. Mahalo!

Me ke aloha piha,
