Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Pacific American Community Cultural Center. PACCC will soon be forming Committees to aid in the growth and knowledge of its purpose. If you are interested in sharing your time, skills and experience, please read through the following statements and send an email to info@pacccenter.org to become a volunteer advocate.
Please read the following statements carefully – you will be required to state you understand the statements below before submitting your information.
Statement of Confidentiality
The Pacific American Community Cultural Center strives to provide a safe and confidential atmosphere for all persons. In order to maintain this level of confidence within the Center and community, your understanding of this policy and willingness to carry out during and after your service with the Pacific American Community Cultural Center is very important. By becoming a PACCC volunteer, you agree that you will keep in strict confidence all information brought about by any individuals, organizations or businesses during and after your service with the Pacific American Community Cultural Center. You also understand that you may be asked to resign your volunteer or staff position at any time by the Board of Directors for any violation of this statement of confidentiality.
Statement of Agreement
As a volunteer for the Pacific American Community Cultural Center (PACCC), you agree to the following:
- You are interested in serving as a Pacific American Community Cultural Center volunteer.
- You are prepared to receive training and devote an agreed upon time to the Pacific American Community Cultural Center.
- You will hold harmless Pacific American Community Cultural Center should you incur any injury while working as a volunteer.
- You will follow the policies of the Pacific American Community Cultural Center and agree to maintain confidentiality even if you are no longer a volunteer.
Furthermore, be aware that all volunteer positions with PACCC are at-will. As a result, you are free to resign at any time, for any reason or for no reason. Similarly, PACCC is free to conclude its relationship with you at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. In the event that you resign as a PACCC volunteer, we request that you ensure that any pending commitments are properly transitioned.
As a PACCC volunteer, you will be expected to abide by certain rules and standards. As a condition of your volunteer relationship, you will also be required to sign and comply with such generally applicable volunteer agreements and policies as PACCC may adopt.
The Pacific American Community Cultural Center reserves the right to conduct background investigations and/or reference checks on all of its potential volunteers. Any volunteer position is contingent upon a clearance of such a background investigation and/or reference check, if any, and by applying as a volunteer you consent to such checks and agree to (i) provide references upon request; and (ii) complete any forms required by PACCC’s third party background check provider to facilitate any background check. Please advise PACCC by email to info@PACCCenter.org if you have ever been convicted of a criminal offense (felony or serious misdemeanor) (convictions for marijuana-related offenses that are more than two years old need not be listed). Please state the nature of the crime(s), when and where convicted, and the disposition. A prior criminal offense will not necessarily result in denial of a volunteer opportunity. PACCC will consider the nature, date, and any surrounding circumstances, and relevance of any offense to the volunteer program of the Pacific American Community Cultural Center.
