Learn about tapa patterns from different island nations, then design your own pattern.

Join Melodie Turori to embroider your own tivaivai square.

Lei Making (Hawaii)

with Auntie Momi

Make Your Own Poi Ball (Aotearoa New Zealand)

Auntie Rose Laolagi will teach you how to make your very own poi ball.

Ukulele (Hawaii)

Uncle Lincoln Kaio returns to host the popular jam session. Bring your ukulele!

9:30 am – Workshop Registration
10:00 am – 12:00pm – Morning Workshops
12 pm – 1:00pm – Lunch served
1:00 – 3:00 pm – Afternoon Workshops
3:00 – 3:30 pm – Workshop Showcase (a time of sharing what we’ve learned)

Lunch by Tui’s Tasty Chicken

An ono plate lunch is included with your workshop ticket. Your plate includes huli-huli chicken, rice, green salad, corn on the cob, and mac salad.
